To : Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India,
India produces over 1 crore graduates every year, many of whom dream of building their careers through entry-level jobs in IT, BPO, customer support, finance, and data roles. But with the rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence, these fresher jobs are vanishing at an alarming rate.
While AI adoption is a sign of progress, it must not come at the cost of India's youth losing their very first job opportunity. A fresher's first job is not just about salary - it's about building skills, confidence, and a career path.
We demand that the Government of India:
- Create a National "AI Transition Fund" - Companies using AI at scale should contribute to a pool dedicated to reskilling fresh graduates.
- Mandate AI-era Apprenticeships - Every large employer should provide apprenticeships/internships for graduates who lose opportunities due to automation.
- Offer Tax Incentives - Companies that continue fresher hiring alongside AI adoption should get government-backed incentives.
- Ensure Transparency - Firms should report how many fresher roles were replaced by AI and how many were created in new areas.
India's strength is its young workforce. If we fail to protect freshers during this AI transition, we risk creating a lost generation - skilled, ambitious, but jobless.
👉 Sign this petition to urge the Government to act now.
Together, let's ensure AI works with India's youth, not against them.
